What is GUJCET?
GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is an annual entrance exam for candidates seeking admission into Engineering and pharmacy courses. The exam is overseen by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). However, the admission and the counselling process is undertaken by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).
GUJCET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to ensure that they fulfil the following criteria to be deemed eligible:
Candidates should be Indian citizens
Candidates must be domiciled in Gujarat (IF claiming reservation)
The candidate’s age must not be less than 17 years
Candidates must have cleared their class 12 exam from a recognized board
Candidates that are appearing for their class 12 exams are also eligible to apply
Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved categories) in their class 12 exams or equivalent.
GUJCET Selection Process
After candidates have appeared for the GUJCET exam, they will be allocated a rank according to the marks they have secured. Based on these marks, candidates can choose their desired course and institution in the counselling process (Seat availability subject to rank secured and reservation status of the candidates).
